Ken and Carrie Beaudry founded Beaudry Oil & Propane in 1981 with just one truck and one employee. Despite numerous changes over the years, our commitment to quality and service has never wavered. This dedication to our employees, residential and commercial customers, and community has propelled Beaudry Oil & Propane to become a leading fuel company in Minnesota. With over 100 team members, we serve thousands of customers in the Twin Cities, Central Minnesota, East Central Minnesota, Northern Minnesota, and Northeastern Minnesota.

BEAUDRY OIL & PROPANE TIMELINE
1981
Ken and Carrie Beaudry started Beaudry Oil Company by purchasing a business in Elk River, Minnesota, that consisted of a bulk fuel route, full-service convenience store, a small office, and a 4-bay car wash. They started with one driver and two small bulk trucks with 1500-gallon tanks to provide home heating fuel oil, farm fuels, and commercial diesel to customers.
1984
Started a wholesale fuel division by purchasing our first semi-truck and tanker to deliver commercial diesel in larger quantities to better provide for our commercial customers.
1987
Created Beaudry Propane division to better serve our home and commercial heating customers with clean and efficient propane.
1987
Built our first lubricants warehouse and shop in Elk River and started a bulk lubricants division to deliver quality lubes to our commercial customers.
1988
Built a new fuel storage facility in Elk River.
1994
Signed a contract with Texaco Lubricants to offer a quality product at a competitive price in bulk and packaged lubricants throughout the Twin Cities metro area and Central Minnesota.
1996
Built Beaudry Oil Company corporate headquarters in Elk River, Minnesota, our current office location.
2001
Became a direct distributor with Chevron Lubricants to expand our lubricant offerings of quality products and service.
2006
Purchased Riverside Oil Company to better serve our customers and add bulk fuel storage in Monticello, Minnesota.
2007
Became exclusive provider of the Eagle Gold Lubricants brand to bring additional high-quality lube products at a competitive price point.
2008
Formulated a top-quality premium diesel sold as Kodiak Premium Diesel with high performance and cold weather properties.
2010
Started Pro2Go Cylinder Exchange to enhance our services in the propane grill cylinder market.
2012
Purchased Town and Country Propane to better service the Mora area with propane and add more bulk propane storage.
2012
Purchased Eggens Direct Service to further expand our fuel services with Kodiak Premium Diesel in the Milaca and Mora areas and add more bulk fuels storage capacity.
2017
Purchased DM Propane in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, continuing the tradition of a family-owned and operated propane distributor in the Detroit Lakes Area.
2018
Purchased Northway Oil in Little Falls, Minnesota, increasing our service and product offerings to customers in the Little Falls area for both bulk fuels and propane storage.
2019
Became the area’s exclusive distributor of Petro-Canada Lubricants, the #1 lubricant brand in Canada, offering our customers premium oil for extreme cold weather conditions. (Petro-Canada is now an American-owned company).
2021
Purchased Arnel Oil in New Brighton, Minnesota, expanding our service capacity and adding another self-service gas location.
2022
Purchased Bemidji Oil & Propane in Bemidji, Minnesota, and Anglo-American Oil & Propane in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, expanding our propane service area in northern Minnesota. The addition of Ango-American also added fuel service to the Detroit Lakes area.
2023
Introduced Shell products to our expanding line of lubricant products, in addition to Petro-Canada, Eagle Gold, Lucas Oil, Chevron, and TotalEnergies.
2024
Finished construction on Lubricants Warehouse in Elk River, Minnesota, to accommodate our expanding division.
2024
Purchased Range Bottle Gas Company in Coleraine, Minnesota, and Pederson Oil in Menagha, Minnesota. Acquiring Range Bottle Gas expands our propane service area in North and Northeastern Minnesota, while Pederson Oil adds more tankwagon routes in the Detriot Lakes and Menagha area.
